Your complains were heard and so on we present version 1.3.0 of the Anti-Bounce to you. From now on updating can be done automatically making it much easier for us to rule out the left over bugs in the script. Below you are able to check out the full changelog of this update.

Changelog:

- Fixed certain bugs that caused the Anti-Bounce to not work properly anymore.
- Fixed a few bugs with slowing down.
- Added /ntb command to enable/disable notifications of when a bounce is getting prevented. This is done with a green text showing up for a second.
- Added a auto-updater. - Added a statistics gather system.
- Added settings to control (and disable) the auto-updater. Also added a setting to disable the statistics gathering system.

Auto-Updater:

As you can see a few new settings were added to the meta.xml regarding the auto-updater. I'll explain what each setting does:

allowUpdate
This allows the script to check if there is any update available.

autoUpdate
Allows the script to automatically update when a update is available. If this is set on false the update has to be triggered using the "/abupdate" command. This has to be done by one of the server administrators.

silentUpdate
The script will not trigger any messages when updating. Only when the update is finished and the script is restarting.

updateMeta
Currently unused but will show up at the next minor update.

The Auto-Updater is only able to restart the script when it's given powers for it. In case you don't want to do this you still are able to manualy restart the resource when it has updated. Each 5 minutes it will remind you that it was updated and requires a restart. Until then the client part of the script will work correctly. In case you don't trust the fact that the updater script is compiled (security reasons) then you are able to completely remove it from the meta file. We do recommend keeping it there though.

Statistics Gathering

This system basically keeps track of what servers are using what version of the Anti-Bounce. The "enableStatCollection" setting allows you to stop this from happening. It is also possible to remove the statistic gathering script from the meta file in case you don't trust it at all. This system requires the updater script itself to be in meta too.

We are using the statistic gathering system to see what version of the Anti-Bounce most servers prefer to use (in case we update) and in that case look at what functions aren't wanted to and improve them for future versions to fit all of your needs. It also allows us to get an idea of how many servers are using the script. We recommend keeping it on to help us for better development on future versions.

Did you notice any bugs in the Anti-Bounce? Then please report them on the MTA Community page of this script.
